Inspired by the form of a bud, the “Rai” was designed as a new standard for modern lanterns. The shade is crafted from Mino Washi, one of Japan’s three most renowned traditional papers, and meticulously handmade by skilled artisans.

Its contemporary silhouette, combined with the soft glow through the Washi, creates a warm and inviting ambiance in various settings. The pendant comes in three sizes: large, medium, and small.

Mino Washi, recognized as one of the world’s three great traditional papers, has a history spanning over 1,300 years. Known for its delicate texture and strength, it has long been used in traditional Japanese crafts such as wagasa (Japanese umbrellas) and shoji (paper sliding doors).
