TALIESIN® collection is the representation of the original masterpieces of legendary architect, Frank Lloyd Wight. The new OAK series features a beautiful wood grain, and the natural color fits into the modern aesthetic.
Composed of a series of rectangular solid wood boxes and wood reflectors that act like branches and leaves to make an organic and warm glow. The box shades concealing light sources reduce glare and provide soft indirect illumination. Shafts of light that appear through the crack in the boxes are reflected by the shields to create a dramatic atmosphere. It functions as complimentary interior decor in day/night.
Frank Lloyd Wright licensed products represent refined style, through the expression of the integral relationships between the natural and the man-made, and between material and design. The principle of his philosophy “Organic Architecture” was to design buildings where all the parts were in harmony and integral to the structure and to the building’s very nature. He was impressed by nature, and thought sunlight and moonlight filtered through leaves and branches are most beautiful. Inspired by natural and organic light, he designed the lamp, capturing the filtered glow of light.
