YAMAGIWA presented its latest collections, “O-LIGHT” and “TALIESIN® WHITE,” at 3daysofdesign 2026 in Copenhagen, marking the it’s first participation in the event as part of the FRAMING exhibition.

The installation took place at Odd Fellow Palace, alongside a range of international brands. The FRAMING exhibition attracted approximately 22,000 visitors overall, drawing a global audience of design and industry professionals.

“O-LIGHT” is a lighting collection inspired by “magewappa,” a traditional Japanese woodcraft technique from Akita Prefecture. Using Akita cedar, the design explores a quiet presence in space through the interplay of light, material, and time, offering a contemporary interpretation of Japanese craftsmanship.

“TALIESIN® WHITE,” meanwhile, was introduced as a new color variation of the TALIESIN series originally designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The white finish brings a renewed sense of openness to the iconic design, expanding how it is experienced while maintaining its architectural composition and characteristic layering of light and shadow.

A key aspect of the presentation was its focus on light not only as illumination, but as an element that shapes spatial perception through both light and shadow. This approach encouraged conversations among visitors about how lighting can influence the experience of space.
