— A Japanese Collaboration Illuminates ALCOVA
Where Light and Craftsmanship Converge
YAMAGIWA returns to Milan Design Week after two years, presenting three exceptional lighting collections, including a brand-new release, at Villa Borsani as part of ALCOVA. With a century-long heritage, YAMAGIWA blends Japanese craftsmanship with materials, embodying its philosophy of “The Art of Lighting” and bringing it to the world.
Harmony of Heritage ― YAMAGIWA x Noritake
This year, YAMAGIWA collaborates with the esteemed Japanese tableware brand Noritake at Villa Borsani, uniting two distinct crafts through a shared dedication to heritage and innovation. With a 120-year legacy in porcelain artistry and refined dining, Noritake is celebrated for its exceptional
craftsmanship, pioneering approaches to materials, and timeless design philosophy. Their renowned expertise and sophisticated aesthetic will be showcased alongside YAMAGIWA’s latest designs, creating a harmonious and inspiring display. Both brands, as official licensees of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, continue to honor Wright’s vision by integrating time-honored techniques with contemporary innovation, preserving the essence of his designs for the future. Faye Toogood, a British designer, has curated the exhibition space by artfully selecting YAMAGIWA’s lighting fixtures. Her curation enhances the subtle interplay between light and space, creating a refined and harmonious ambiance that organically complements the unique environment of Villa Borsani.
