YAMAGIWA is delighted to share that its Jakobsson Lamp, designed by Swedish designer Hans-Agne Jakobsson, is being featured in the exhibition “Everyday Heirlooms: Exquisitely Designed Wooden Objects of Use” at the Messler Gallery, Center for Furniture Craftsmanship, in Rockport, Maine, USA.

Curated by Heide Martin (Heide Martin Design Studio) and Anne Quigley (Editor-in-Chief, Remodelista.com), the exhibition explores how beautifully crafted wooden objects can enrich daily life and endure as cherished heirlooms for generations.

The Jakobsson Lamp showcases the warmth and beauty of pine wood, delicately illuminating spaces with soft light that evokes the glow of a bonfire. Originally created by Jakobsson in Sweden, the collection has been faithfully reproduced by Japanese artisans using traditional craftsmanship, carrying forward his vision of natural materiality and poetic light.

Messler Gallery is dedicated to advancing design and craftsmanship in wood as a vibrant medium of expression. Through exhibitions, competitions, and educational programs, the gallery connects talented makers with audiences both locally and nationwide.
